FAQs

Which staff/volunteers will be going on the trip?

Miss Gibson, Mrs Newnes and Mrs Canfer are kindly giving up their week to be with your children and make sure they have a good time. 

What if we need to contact you?

We will follow the same procedures as at school if we need to get in contact with you. Please ensure your details are up-to-date.

We will not hesitate to call if your child needs you in the night.

If your child needs medication, we will contact you to inform you.

In an emergency, we will call to inform you what has happened and what the next steps are.

What about behaviour management?

We will follow our restorative practise behaviour policy, the same as the children are used to in school. If we need to contact you regarding an incident, we will do so.

In the event of a severe incident, we will contact you asking for you to collect your child and take them home. Alternative arrangements will then be made for your child to be educated at school. 

Where will the children sleep?

Girls will be in Stone Hill house in rooms of up to 6 pupils. A staff member will be staying on the same floor. 

Boys will be in Murray house - half upstairs and half downstairs. A staff member will be staying on each floor.

Only children from St Johns will be staying in Murray and Stone Hill.

Do I need to fill in any forms?

These will be sent closer to the time.

It is ESSENTIAL you apply and sign for any medication your child will need - daily hayfever tablets, brown inhalers etc.

Can they bring snacks/ buy souvenirs?

Each child can bring 4 small snacks (1 per night) which will be kept in the common rooms - not in dorms. Food left in dorms will be confiscated and returned at the end of the week so please ensure your child knows the location of any snacks.

Please bring a sealed envelope on Monday 24th June with the correct money and written on the outside the list of items including the colour that your child would like. These will be given to them on the Friday.
