We were really lucky to spend time today with a real author - Paul Cookson.  He taught us how to be poets and we made up our first poem about Naughty Nigel.
We have been talking about being a kind friend, how we are all different but that we all play alongside each other.  We are really proud of latest display which embraces this ethos.

On a Monday we have a visit from Mr Daniel our P.E. teacher.  We plays lots of games which follow characters such as Fast Freddie exploring core skills which gets us to practice our running, jumping and crouching in a ball.
On a Wednesday we have Rhythm Time with Gemma.  We get to play different musical instruments, sing and beat out rhythms. Gemma gets us to practice singing loudly, quietly, fast and slow.

How to get involved

Parents and carers are a really important part of our Nursery life and we encourage everyone to get involved where they can.

Tapestry - this is the on-line Learning Journey we use for recording observations of the children but it is also a tool for parents to use at home.  You will have access to Tapestry and be able to upload your own pictures from home so that we can hear all about their experiences outside of Nursery.

Stay and Play mornings - these are introduced once the children are settled after the start of the academic year.  These are short sessions where you can stay with your child till about 9.30 and join in with their activities.  We rotate the day each week so that everyone has a chance to attend.
