A warm welcome to Year 4 from your teacher, Miss Gibson!

Communication

We strongly believe that your child will do better if we work as a team. If you have any worries or concerns about your child, please do let us know so that we are aware. You may message on Class Dojo or, if you prefer, you can send an e-mail to the office. Alternatively, contact us on the playground before and after school if it’s a quick word you need; however, please wait until I have finished dismissing the children first so that I can ensure every child has gone to their adult.

Learning in Year 4 never stops…

Useful Information

• Please send in a clearly labelled water bottle (containing only water) every day so your child can have regular drinks throughout the day. These can be filled up throughout the day if required.  
• PE - Monday (please send your child into school in their PE kit on this day). 
• Reading books and diaries must be brought into school every day to maximize opportunities for the children to develop their love of reading.
• English homework will be set every Tuesday and due in the following Monday (starting Tuesday 18 September).

• Maths Flex - Maths Homework 

  All Maths homework is set on Maths Flex. Please see the information below about how to access Maths Flex. It is set, monitored and reviewed weekly. The questions are designed to support your child's learning and challenge them. To log in at home please go to - activelearnprimary.co.uk Your child will be given a log in to access Maths Flex at home but please let me know if you have any issues. 

• Reading:

Please encourage your child to read 3-4 times per week. To help promote independence, I ask that each child records what they read in their diary and I will check this every Friday. You may find the Accelerated Reader link below.
