Autumn Term

Unit 1: Prayer and Worship: Hinduism

• Children will study the theme of Prayer and Worship, specific to the religion of Hinduism. They will explore the key question: What is the best way for a Hindu to show their commitment to God?

Unit 2: Incarnation

• Children will study the theme of Incarnation/God, specific to the religion of Christianity. They will explore the key question: What is it like to follow God?

Spring Term

Unit 3: People of God

• Children will study the theme of People of God, specific to the religion of Christianity. They will further explore the key question: What is it like to follow God?

Unit 4: Salvation

• Children will study the theme of Salvation, specific to the religion of Christianity. They will explore the key question: Why do Christians call the day Jesus died ‘Good Friday’?

Summer Term

Unit 5: Kingdom of God

• Children will study the theme of Kingdom of God, specific to the religion of Christianity. They will explore the key question: When Jesus left, what was the impact of Pentecost?

Unit 6: Expression

• Children will study the theme of Expression, through a general religious lens. They will explore the key question: How do people express their faith through the arts?
