Welcome

Welcome to St John’s CE (VC) Primary School

Welcome

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you and your child to the St John’s CE (VC) Primary School where we believe that every child must enjoy, ‘Life in its Fullness’.

The school is situated in the lovely village of Keele close to Keele University.  We currently have 196 children on roll across seven classes.  There is also a governor run Nursery and Breakfast and After-school club. We are a happy, thriving school where every child is encouraged to reach their true potential.

Choosing your child’s school is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.  The purpose of this website is to inform you about our vision, values and ethos, curriculum standards and provision, including the wide range and high-quality opportunities available to every child at St John’s.

As a Church school our fundamental mission is to promote positive values and virtues within our school community in which every person is respected as an individual, made in the image of Christ.  The promotion of Christian values and British values are reinforced through the curriculum daily.

Through an extensive and creative curriculum children’s learning is enhanced by a wide variety of extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs.

We retain a high regard for the importance of engaging with families through regular communication and contact with parents.  Celebration assemblies are held every week, to share children’s achievements and successes; Induction evenings for parents are held in school, regular consultation evenings involve pupils in sharing and discussing their own progress in learning. The school takes part in worships at St John’s on occasions such as, Harvest, Christmas, Easter etc. ensuring our children become part of the parish community and understand Christianity as a worldwide faith.

Whilst I hope you find this brief introduction useful, there can be no substitute for a personal visit and you are warmly invited to visit, by prior arrangement. You can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. I look forward to meeting you and your child in the future.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please contact the school office with any queries you may have.

Thank you for visiting!
