Reading is very important in Class 3 and we have been enjoying the new reading corner, reading for pleasure.
In the Spring Term P.E. is on a Monday and Friday.
In the Spring Term, Class 3 will be going Swimming and doing Gymnastics.
~ we need an indoor P.E. kit consisting of a white t-shirt, black shorts and black pumps or trainers.
~ we need an outdoor P.E. kit consisting of jogging bottoms, trainers, t-shirt and warm top.
~ earrings need to be removed.
In the Spring and Summer Term, we will go swimming on a Monday morning. This will replace Tuesday's P.E. session from the Autumn Term. We will need a swimming bag brought to school every Monday, consisting of a swimming costume or trunks (not knee length) and a towel. Children with long hair will need to have a swimming cap. Please ensure your child always brings their coat to school on a Monday as this will be needed to and from the baths.

During the Spring term, this will be based on our topic ‘Time Travellers’ and will focus on ‘The Stone Age’. The children are encouraged to choose how they wish to present their home project and this can range from using ICT skills, to creating models or even comic strips; whatever engages your child to learn. These will be due to be brought into school during the first week back after the half-term holiday.

Monday is when we do our Spellings tests.
- spellings are sent out in blocks with the test date next to them.
- times tables are set each week with a mix of multiplication and division.
Homework is given out every Wednesday and is due in by the following Monday.
- there will be one piece of English and one piece of Mathematics.
- sometimes there can be Topic work set as well.
