We hope that you had a lovely half term and a nice break from school work.
This week we are going to be continuing with work on multiplication and division in Maths. In English, we are going to be starting to investigate newspaper reports, ready to write our own next week. These will be based on extreme weather, linked to our new topic of Snow and Ice and the water cycle in Science.
This week is also the start of Fairtrade Fortnight. This is celebrated by schools all around the country and is linked to the work that we did on Children's Rights back in Autumn term. There are lots of Fairtrade lessons and activities for you to choose from this week under the Afternoon Learning tab. There is also a section for the whole-school book called Malala's Magic Pencil. This tells the real-life story of a girl about your age, who stood up for her right to education. We hope this inspires you to think more about the rights that children have and how you can stand up for them.
Parents and carers, if you would like any more information on this, there is a useful link below.
Have a great week!
