Hope you are having a good week and enjoying your learning!
Don't forget you can still email me photos of your winter scene boxes/snowflakes for our gallery.
Challenge of the day!
Can you make a tall structure?
(I would love to see your efforts on Tapestry - have a go!)
We are now starting Phase 4 of our Phonics learning.
If your child can recognise most of all the Phase 2/3 sounds and read the Phase 2 and 3 tricky words then they are ready for Phase 4.
If you feel that your child still needs more practise with Phase2/3 please re-visit the previous weeks learning and try some other games on the suggested websites on our front class page.
You say this sentence and your child writes it down. Look out for tricky words and sound out each word.
The paint is on the chair.
Challenge 1 - if your child can write this sentence easily add in some describing words.
Challenge 2 - Can they write another sentence about the paint?
You will need some playdough for today's activity. If you haven't got any have a go at making some together. Here's a video to help you. Have fun!!
I can recognise and form numbers correctly.
I can count objects accurately with 1-1 correspondence.
I can write a simple sentence.
Today I would like you to write a simple sentence about The Snowman. Talk about how he looks and try to remember some of the things you read about him in the story.
Remember what you need to think about when you are writing a sentence.
Challenge - Write 2 or more sentences about the snow man.
I understand the meaning of prayer.
Christians believe that praying is a way of speaking with God. People can pray to give thanks, ask for help or to ask for forgiveness.
Christians around the world pray together, on their own in church or at home.
Some people like to focus on a cross or candle to help them think about God.
We have a candle on our worship table in the classroom.
Christians place of worship is called a church.
Here are the morning and afternoon prayers that we say in school:-
"Father in Heaven, you love me,
You're with me night and day,
I want to love you always, in all I do and say,
I'll to please you father, help me through the day,
"God our father, I've come to say,
Thank you for your love today,
Thank you for my family and all the love you give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night, and in the morning send your light,
Challenge - can you write a prayer to God to help with something that might be going on in your life at the moment?
It would be lovely if you videoed yourself reading it on Tapestry.
You could also draw and colour in a church or print of the template if you wish.
A photograph of our church St. Johns is below.
You can email your pictures to me and I will post some on our class page next week.
