Wednesday 15th July

Good Morning everyone

It's Mrs Jowitt!

I mentioned at the start of the week there would be a message coming to you written in code. Use the table of letters and symbols to decode the message. If you would like to try writing a message of your own, we would love to hear from you. You might want to tell us your plans for the summer or what you think you might like to be when you grow up. You can email them to the class 3 email. Enjoy the rest of the week.

I can compare mass.

In today's lesson, you will be comparing mass and deciding which is lighter and heavier.

Remember: 1kg = 1000g

so: 2.5kg = 2500g

Work through the Powerpoint and then have a go at the worksheet. Choose which level you wish to attempt (the submarine in the top corner indicates level: shallow, deep and deepest).

Wednesday 15th July

I can write an end of year poem

Today, I would like you to have a go at writing a poem about being in Year 3. This does not have to rhyme. If you prefer, you could choose to write an acrostic poem and have each line beginning with a certain letter to spell a word.

If you would like your poem to rhyme, try using the online rhyming dictionary to help you.

Example:

Our time spent in Class 3

Has been lots of fun,

Many good times and laughter,

Enjoyed by everyone!

We have studied lots of topics,

Made friends old and new,

For our topic, called Go Wild,

We visited Chester Zoo!

Mrs Jowitt and Mrs Winstone,

The teachers in Class 3,

With Mrs Hill and Mrs Bowler,

They help you and me!

This year we all went swimming,

Each Monday in the pool,

On a Friday we used a funny voice,

Mine was really cool.

This school year has been strange,

Much different from all the rest,

Home-learning for many weeks,

No SATs or assessment test.

But now I'm ready for Year 4,

A new teacher I will meet,

I can't wait for September to come,

Many friends again to greet!
