Wednesday 15th July

Good morning! Hope you are well!

I hope that you are enjoying doing the suggested activities. I hope Moana and Hawaii are giving you that holiday vibe. Remember to post a photo on Tapestry. Today we are making a lei, a traditional garland of Hawaiian flowers.

We would love to see it!

Many thanks again for your best wishes messages to your Buddies. They will be watching it as part of a virtual leaving assembly on Friday. I am sure they will love it - I know I do!!!!

Challenge of the Day!

What is the best thing you have done in Reception class? Draw a picture.

Daily Phonics lesson:

It is great that you are keeping going with the Daily Phonics lesson. It is so important that you don't forget the 45 phonemes that you have learnt and that you remember all the Phase 2, 3 and 5 Tricky Words.

Please remember that if you feel that your child needs more practise at Phase 3/4 please revisit our previous lessons and also use your child's Home Learning Book to consolidate prior learning.

We have looked at the first set of Phase 5 phonics and for the rest of this term we will now be consolidating Phase 3/4/5 learning ready for Year 1.

Remember - Practise makes Better!!

Hands Up for Letter Sounds | Phonics & Letter Sounds Song for Kids | Jack Hartmann

This alphabet song also teaches letter sounds. Hands Up for Letter Sounds will really help your children learn alphabet recognition and the letter sounds as they sing, "Hands Up For Letter Sounds" over and over. This letter sound song is also filled with lots of rhyming, and each letter sound is stated clearly and accurately. All the visuals and letters are large, colorful and clear to enhance learning.
Jack includes movements and motions to further engage your students to join in and sing and move for brain and body connections.

2.  Play this Yes/No game with a T/Rex - watch out for the roar!

3. Read Phonics Play Comic - 'Which New Pet?'
