Hello everyone!
Hope you are all well. Let's have a happy day!
Challenge of the day!
How many zoo animals can you name?
Phonics
We are now starting Phase 4 of our Phonics learning.
If your child can recognise most of all the Phase 2/3 sounds and read the Phase 2 and 3 tricky words then they are ready for Phase 4.
If you feel that your child still needs more practise with Phase2/3 please re-visit the previous weeks learning and try some other games on the suggested websites on our front class page.
How quickly can you read these blends?
You could play this game using a piece of blu-tac on the screen!
You say this sentence and your child writes it down. Look out for tricky words and sound out each word.
The nest is in the tree.
Challenge 1 - if your child can write this sentence easily add in some describing words.
Challenge 2 - Can they write another sentence about the nest?
Maths
I can recognise numbers.
English
I can write a sentence for a speech bubble.
Think about what the Snowman might be saying to you. Is he telling you about what he is wearing? Is he telling you about his friend James? Is he telling you about the weather? Talk to your adult about your ideas.
Remember these prompts for your sentence!
Music/Art
I can express how a piece of music makes me feel through art.
Last week we performed some different movements to the classical piece of music Winter by Vivaldi.
Today we are going to watch and listen to this beautiful piece of music from the film The Snowman.
I want you to think about how the music makes you feel. Then listen to it again and draw how the music is making you feel using crayons, paints or felt tips.
Talk about your picture to your adult.
