Monday 15th June

Good morning and happy Monday!

I'm sorry I didn't leave a message on Friday. As most of you might be aware now, I'm going to be having a baby so I've been at a few appointments and checking everything is ok so it's been a busy week.

Have you had a a busy week? What have you been up to?

We've been cleaning cars, playing in the garden and having a bit of a clear out. It has been lovely to visit family (in the garden and with a distance of course!) but just so nice to spend time with them. Keep sending in your super work and photographs and I will share them with the rest of the class.

Have a great week,

Speak to you on Friday.

And remember, you are doing a fantastic job!

Objective – I can count in 2s.

This week we are learning to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. Today we are focusing on counting in 2s. We have been practicing this skill all year but it is always good to practice and make sure we can spot the patterns when we count. Practice counting in 2s until you get to 50.

Task – Play this counting in 2s game (make sure you select the option to count in 2s and the instructions are down the side).

Challenge – Try either the counting in 2s activity or the dot to dots. You might need a number square to help you with the dot to dot activities as they need you to count in 2s up to 100!

Objective – I can use and identify prepositions in a sentence.

This week we are going to have a grammar focus in our writing. I know you have been working really hard on your writing and we have tried writing for lots of different purposes. This week I want us to check we still have the skills needed for writing and we understand different types of words. Today we are focusing on prepositions.

Task – Work through the preposition activities.

Challenge – See if you can decide which preposition best fits in the sentence. You could have a go at writing your own sentences using the pictures to help you, remember to underline the preposition when you have written it.

Today we are going to learn the alternative sound 'are' can make.
