Thursday & Friday
Over the final two days of this week, I'd like you to work on your subtraction. Again, there are a few sheets in this pack, so make them last the two days. You may be able to do some of these in your head or you may need to use a written method.
If you had 56 - 24, you could do 56 - 20 = 36 then take away 4 to get 32. You may use column subtraction for some of them if you know how to, but don't worry if you don't: we'll be working on this later in the year.
Today, test yourself with a Year 2 Arithmetic Test. Can you remember how to do all this maths?
Monday & Tuesday
Over the first two days, I would like you to revise your addition of 2-digit numbers. There are a few pages of questions in here for you to divide up between Monday and Tuesday. The answers are at the end of the document.
There are different ways to do these questions: you might use partitioning or column addition if you can remember how to do it.
There are two ways to use partitioning...
45 + 34 = You could do 40 + 30 = 70 and 5 +4 = 9 and add the 70 and 9 together to make 79. You could do 45 + 30 + 4 = 79. Use the method that works for you.
