Our Borinda Bamboo plant.
As part of a sustainability project at Keele University, we have been taking care of a borinda bamboo plant.
We will be attending a planting out ceremony at Keele Hall next Friday 24th June in the afternoon along with other people who have also been looking after a plant.
The children have learnt a lot of interesting facts about bamboo and it has been interesting to see how fast it has grown!
Science
This week in Science we have been finding out about floating and sinking.
Have a go at home!
Get a big container of water outside and look for things around the house or outdoors to experiment with.
Can your child talk about the different materials things are made of and predict whether the object will float or sink?
