This year, Opal class children have had the fantastic opportunity of attending Forest School club led by Mrs Butler who is a qualified Forest school leader. They have enjoyed learning how to make a fire and to how to sit and move safely around it...they even had a go at sparking flint on steel. Toasting marshmallows on the fire was great fun and the children learnt how to avoid the smoke depending on where the wind blew! Other activities have included making autumn art, leaf bracelets and wreaths and just enjoying being in the outdoors embracing the late autumn weather. These classes will help the children to grow in confidence, increase their independence and build their resilience.
