On behalf of the Parents and Teachers Association, I would like to say a big hello to all the parents and pupils of
St John’s Primary School.
The Committee members are as follows-
Chair: Stephanie Hill - Class 3 Teaching Assistant and HLTA.
Treasurers: Mrs Debbie Bennett (children in Class 2 and Class 5)
Secretary: Mrs Claire Welsh - Reception TA (child in Class 2 and Class 6)
For those parents new to St John’s everyone looks forward to the regular PTA events such as the Discos, Film Nights, Curry and Quiz Nights and Summer fairs. The PTA is open to all parents of the school, so please keep an eye on the notice board for information on meetings and events, as your support is crucial in continuing to fundraise successfully. We are always on the hunt for volunteer helpers, so if you can assist with anything, big or small please see Mrs. Hill
Fundraising is possible due to the continuing support of our parents and families; this deserves a big thank you.
Please see the latest PTA newsletter for more information about the PTA.

Tuesday 20th March - Easter Egg Decorating Competition deadline.
Saturday 30th June - Summer Fair 12-2p.m.
Easter will soon be upon us and the PTA will be celebrating it by holding their annual egg decorating competition.
We invite you to take part in our competition of decorating an egg! Please use either a hardboiled egg or polystyrene craft egg (available in Poundland!). Ideas are available on Google images. They have lots!!
We will be judging two winners from each year group – we are looking for the children’s input into the decoration. Prizes will be presented during Thursday 27th March assembly.
Here at St.John's from October 2017 we will be continuing to fundraise by collecting old British or foreign coins and notes, even obsolete currency.
There is a bucket in school to drop the currency into. In July we send it to www.cash4coins.co.uk who will exchange it into cash we can use. The bucket will be here all year so keep it coming please.
Thursday 1st February 2018 3.15-5p.m.
What a great time the children had this afternoon. Some singing along to Trolls songs, enjoying their popcorn and sweets and all the children behaving perfectly whilst watching the film of their choice. We had more than 3/4 of the school attend and raised over £300.
Thanks to all the parents and family members for being so patient at the end as we made sure all the children made their way out of school safely.
All the children in school designed a Christmas card and some of you bought a set (or 2). They were printed locally at Keele Print shop.
A big thank you to those who did buy a set. After printing costs we made £182.98 profit.
Summer Fair 2017
What a great day we all had on Saturday. The sun popped its head out, it was really busy with a lovely atmosphere as usual. We raised just over £1,947. Wow!
Thanks to Jill Ford, Charlie Williams, Fay Brown, Sharon and all the other volunteer helpers who made Saturday happen!
Thanks a lot!
